As the Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities stretch over a period of 15 days, Nikko was lucky enough to be presented another opportunity to demonstrate her emcee-ing ability. In the month of Feburary 2011, she hosted the CSS Company Chinese New Year celebration that took place in Yew Tee Camp for the NS personnel who were there to unwind after a long hard day's training.
The event was a wonderful learning platform for the girl where she had to mingle with the crowd, play game and entice them with prizes and conduct a round of bingo as part of the programme lineup. On top of that, she had to learn of the different ranks of the army personnel and tackle speaking Mandarin to shout out various auspicious greetings in the spirit of the CNY celebrations.
As this is an event held in the army camp, no photos were taken. Alas Nikko finally has a proper excuse on why most of this posts lacks photos. She notes that most of her post recently is not very visually appealing but do bear with her as she updates the past entries with pictures in due time.
